  29.             TUTORIAL--Using ENTER to Create a Database and Enter Data
  30.  
  31.          If you have been following the sequence of tutorials, you have
  32.          made a questionnaire file called FIRST.QES.  Now we will run
  33.          the ENTER program so that you can create a database, using
  34.          FIRST.QES as the template.  Normally, of course, you would
  35.          run ENTER from the PROGRAMS menu of EPI6.

  37.          In ENTER you will see a screen that asks for the name of a
  38.          data file.  Type "FIRST".  Actually, the data file will be
  39.          called FIRST.REC, but ENTER assumes the ".REC" if it is not
  40.          supplied.

  49.           After typing FIRST, press <Enter> and then choose menu item
  50.           "2", "Making a new data file from a .QES file."
  51.  
  52.           Now ENTER will ask for the name of the .QES file.  Type FIRST
  53.           or FIRST.QES, the name of the questionnaire you have just made.

  55.           After you make these entries, ENTER will make a .REC file and
  56.           give further instructions.
